Cecil Plains, where wet ground stops the truck cold
Cecil Plains is deep black soil on the Condamine floodplain, irrigated cotton and grain, and some of the flattest, most productive country we drive onto. Flat is good for farming and awkward for choosing a spot. The soil is superb until it is wet. Then a loaded truck does not bog slowly. It goes down and stays.
